Great anticipation for the day of Jesus' return.

“And the Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’"
(Revelation 22:17 NIV)

On Friday February 28, 2014 the movie 'Son of God' hit theatres. It begins a trail of Christian themed movies coming out this year: 'Noah' in March, 'Heaven is for Real' at Easter, 'Exodus' later in the year and 'Mary' at Christmastime.

Although I am a very infrequent movie goer, I'd like to recommend the Christian community support such films, since we have been praying Hollywood would produce righteous movies and leave behind ungodly themes (oh yes, another 'Left Behind' movie is also coming out!).

As I watched a trailer of the ‘Son of God’ movie, I was reminded of the day Jesus died. The day Jesus died everything changed. On the day itself, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, darkness covered the land for hours, there was an earthquake, rocks split, graves were opened and many of the saints were raised to life and they walked right into Jerusalem and appeared to many. The centurion who helped crucify Jesus ended up saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!" (Matthew 27:54 NKJV)

Now let's think about the day Jesus returns. The day Jesus returns, everything will change. The day He returns everyone will say, "Truly this is the Son of God." Some will groan because of missed opportunity to know Him (Revelation 1:7). Others will receive the greatest privilege of life to not only meet Him face to face, but also to enter a marriage for eternity.

The earth itself is groaning and laboring in anticipation for that day. Don't let anyone convince you; all the earthquakes, floods, drought, blizzards, temperature extremes and records broken are all about some natural explanation. The earth is groaning in anticipation of The Day that is coming.

Jesus is coming soon - that, my friends, can be termed a fact. The two word admonishment for us and the entire world is this: "Get Ready."
