Good News for 2014
Blessings and declarations that 2014 holds for you.
What better way to start off the New Year than by me dumping a ton of blessing and favor on you? (Except perhaps by frying up a load of roast potatoes and sprouts in a lot of butter and eating them with a spoon. Yum.)
Here are some of the lovely things Papa God has been speaking to me recently about 2014. I’ve turned them into a declaration slash blessing slash prayer for myself and for you. Here goes…
Here is my 2014 declaration over you:
Jesus is keeping it simple this year. This is what He’s asking you to do.
One thing: sit at His feet and listen to Him.
“But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:42 NKJV)
You can be confident you’re hearing Him because your spiritual eyes see and your spiritual ears hear.
“But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.” (Matthew 13:16)
This is a season of intimacy. He draws close to you to cover you in kisses.
“Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—for your love is more delightful than wine.” (Song of Songs 1:2)
It’s time to rest in His presence.
“The Lord replied, 'My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'” (Exodus 33:14)
You will take great strides forward in confidence, knowing that He is with you all day, every day.
“I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” (Psalm 23:4)
You don’t need to worry because you have mighty prayer warriors constantly praying for you. The Holy Spirit is praying on your behalf. Jesus prays for you.
“And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God." (Romans 8:27)
"Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” (v. 34)
In this season God wants to demonstrate His faithfulness to you.
“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” (Psalm 145:13)
And restore what has been stolen from you.
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.” (Joel 2:25)
This is His blessing over you: you are growing in wisdom and stature and you are constantly increasing in favour with God and man.
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)
The measuring cup He uses to measure out His blessing for you is full to the brim. Right up to the level marked “The Fullness of God”.
“...that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:19)
He is taking you into the glory realm; His glory will be seen on you and you will look radiant.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1)
“Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy.” (v. 5)
Finally, a couple of ideas…
These statements are based on what I’ve heard God saying to me in the last few weeks. I believe they’re true for you too. But what else is God saying that’s personal to you? Why not create your own list of statements and key verses to focus your mind and your heart on what God is doing in your life at the moment?
What is God saying to you? Ask Him what He’s doing in your life at the moment. Ask Him for the key verses He wants you to meditate on and receive for yourself at the moment.
Here’s another thought. You could even print these statements out and stick them on your fridge or bathroom door, and read them out and declare them over yourself everyday. Pop them in the post to a friend. Or you could always make an origami swan out of them. It might not a blessing as such, but it would be terribly impressive.
