Robby Dawkins takes us to a whole new level of possibilities when we choose to walk our lives in obedience to God. How often do we say we want to live our lives for God? So we are kind to our neighbor, we show patience when we’re frustrated, we give tithe to the church on Sunday. But when it comes to something like praying for someone who’s sick, or setting someone free, sharing a word from God to someone, we as people can tend to get nervous and shy away.

Robby takes us on a journey through this book of his own growth with God. We see where he’s faced struggles and triumphs, as his journey in his relationship with God has grown and stretched him in new ways.

To live as Jesus did we are called higher than we imagine. To witness the blind gaining sight, to pray for the deaf to hear, to bring hope to the hopeless, to see the dead raised. Robby takes us through some of the circumstances and stories of God’s grace that he’s witnessed, and gives you some practical steps to try and walk it out on your own.

At the end of this book I have come to find myself being stirred to step out. My spirit man is jumping at the opportunity to try something new. Having been someone who has had some pretty intense encounters on prophetic outreaches, I have still been left desiring to see myself step out in confidence to pray for the sick and oppressed and see them set free — learning to trust God that He will act as I choose to step out.

Do What Jesus Did is a great read for anyone wanting some motivation to step out and share God’s heart with others. Not only are you encouraged with some pretty cool stories, but Robby also shares some of the encounters that didn’t always go as planned. It’s a motivator for anyone who wants to see God move in the lives of the people around them. We may not see the results every time, but here’s to trusting that as we step out, we will see our Daddy’s love shine through.
