Angels in the Fire by Dann Stadler
The Dramatic True Story of an Impossible Rescue

Bethany House | July 2013

I enjoy reading books that are so captivating it's hard to put them down. You end up reading late into the night because you just want to capture one more chapter. Dann Stadler's book, Angels in the Fire, is such a book.

Angels in the Fire is an incredible true story of a head-on car crash at 70 mph which left the drunk driver, who caused the crash, dead, and Dann and his wife clinging to life. The book is both agonizing and gripping with miraculous intervention. In fact, Dann's wife actually died and was temporarily taken to heaven where she had an incredible experience in the presence of the Lord. The intervention of an angel at the site of the crash was visible to numerous bystanders, and made it possible for the Stadlers to be rescued from sure death.

This book is full of hope for those who have “walked through the valley of the shadow of death” and gives numerous examples of angelic activity on earth. It is also an account of the resilience of the human spirit partnering with the Spirit of God in overcoming adversity. I recommend this inspiring book.
