Devotional | The Tabernacle of David
"On that day I will raise up the Tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair it's damages; I will raise up it's ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old [...] 'Behold the days are coming,' says the Lord, 'When the plowman shall overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows seed. The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.'" (Amos 9:11,13 NKJV)
What is the Tabernacle of David?
When the Lord came like a thick cloud of Glory in my room nine years ago and said, "I want you to live, to teach and to do the Tabernacle of David," I knew it was undeniably his voice. But in my mind I was thinking, "What is the Tabernacle of David?" Hence, I began to study the scriptures and commentaries on what it was David set up years ago. David had such a hunger for the Glory and Presence of God that he went after the embodiment of the Glory at that time, the Ark of the Covenant, putting it centre stage in Jerusalem. David then set up 24/7 worship and intercession around the Ark consisting of 4,000 Levitical Priests whose full time job was to make music to the Lord, 288 prophetic singers who were to simply sing to the Lord and 4,000 gatekeepers to help in the work of the House of the Lord. David, the man after God's own heart, knew worship and prayer to the Lord was good for his spirit and good for Israel.
Today the spirit, values and principles of the Tabernacle of David are being rebuilt. Houses of Prayer and centres of sustained worship and intercession are cropping up everywhere. It is unto the soon coming of our Bridegroom and unto a harvest of souls, for indeed, the plowman shall overtake the reaper.
How is your worship and prayer life? Let's be men and women after God's own heart.
